Context:

The project carried out at the leader of the French nuclear industry to reinforce the purchasing team following the start of a new major project concerning the construction of a nuclear power plant in the United Kingdom. The production rate in the factory was being ramped up significantly and the purchasing needed to organized to follow suit. I was given responsibility for the purchasing portfolio for welding materials and part of the heavy boiler-making portfolio.

Mes actions

  • Managing the supplier panel and commercial relations (single-source procurement for many products such as welding filler metals and steel sheets).
  • Managing claims and disputes
  • Qualification of new suppliers.
  • Crisis management: stock-outs in the factory due to over-consumption
  • Supervision of Purchasing files and monitoring orders in progress.

Mes résultats

  • Closure of claims with savings of €200K.
  • Ensuring the security of critical supplies such as gas through the integration of a new supplier.
  • Addition of a new supplier to the boiler-making panel.
  • Savings of more than €2M.
  • Implementation of an improvements plan with a strategic supplier: boiler-making.

My background:

I have a Master's degree in Purchasing Management from IAE in Lyon. Before joining Albert & Co I had the opportunity to work on projects involving civil engineering purchases in the energy sector.
I then joined the teams at Albert & Co in 2018 after qualification in consulting. My main motivation was to diversify my professional experiences and discover new sectors of activity.
